According to data from November 21 at 10:00 a.m., 90 towns in the region are still without electricity supply. Colleagues from the republics of Khakassia, Tuva and Buryatia help specialists from JSC Rosseti Siberia and JSC Krasnoyarsk Regional Energy Company in emergency recovery work.
More than 300 people are involved in the work and 143 pieces of equipment are used, reported the regional directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The department added that roof failures and tree falls were recorded in 10 municipalities. In particular, the wind tore off the roof of the regional hospital in the town of Sukhobuzimo on an area of 900 square meters.
In other regions of Siberia, the hurricane, considered the most powerful in the last half century, also damaged power lines and building roofs and toppled dozens of trees. Bad weather, a strong cold wave, caused ice and traffic restrictions on the roads. In Kuzbass, the catastrophe caused the death of three people.
