It was established that in 2016-2019, the official received 140 thousand rubles through an intermediary from representatives of affiliated companies for assistance in concluding municipal contracts for the repair of buildings and roads. Both the recipient of the bribe and the intermediary pleaded partially guilty, the regional prosecutor’s office said.
The court took into account that the former official was in custody during the investigation, and mitigated the penalty demanded by the prosecutor. The former head of the district was sentenced to a fine of 2.2 million rubles and deprived of the right to hold certain posts for four years.
The verdict has not yet entered into force. The parties decide on the issue of appeal.
