– It was established that in October 2022, the investigator of the territorial investigation department of the regional department of the TFR initiated a criminal case against the inspectors of 32 and 39 years of the traffic police platoon of the traffic police of the Ministry of Affairs Inmates of Russia from the Timashevsk region on petty bribery. After that, the suspects, wanting to avoid criminal liability, decided to bribe the investigator, the ministry said in a statement.
First, through a former police officer, the suspects offered the investigator two million rubles. He refused and reported the illegal actions to the regional department of the TFR.
At the beginning of February 2023, the suspects personally decided to hand over 600,000 rubles to the investigator. The former inspector handed over this amount, but already under the control of the FSB operatives, after which he was detained.
According to the role of each, two of them are suspected of trying to bribe a group of people by prior agreement, on a large scale, and the third, of trying to mediate large-scale bribery.
As specified in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Krasnodar Territory, all defendants in the criminal case were dismissed from the police. Now that the investigation is gathering evidence, the issue of choosing a restraint measure for the suspects is being decided.
