According to the head of the district Andrey Goryunov, buses will not run from January 17 to 22.
“The measure is forced: the decision was made due to strong frosts, increased nebulae and sleet. The low temperatures generate technical problems, so the buses can stop on the route, ”he explained.
Andrey Goryunov also advised car owners to reconsider their plans and not go on long trips, because now the risk of accidents on the roads increases.
Remember that abnormal cold reached several regions of the Far East at once. In the north of the Amur region, the temperature was below 46 degrees below zero, and in the central and southern regions – up to 38 degrees below zero.
For those who still need to hit the road even in such weather, rescuers have prepared a number of recommendations.
“The heat will get into the car while the engine is running, so try to keep the fuel tank full to capacity. If you are leaving town where there are few gas stations, take a supply of fuel in a canister with you. You should not save money on a battery during the cold season. If the battery life is coming to an end, without hesitation, change it to a new one. The biggest mistake is made by drivers who add water to the radiator, such ” frugality” is fraught with serious problems, “said the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Amur Region.
Also, experts advise to insulate the car in advance, both the interior and the hood. On the way, it is recommended to take paper tape with you, which can be glued over the doors. With blankets, bedspreads, or at least plastic wrap, you can cover the windows of a stopped car; it is through them that heat escapes faster. Naturally, you need to prepare warm clothes for yourself and take a thermos with hot tea on the way.
