In the Novosibirsk region there was an accident with a taxi at a railway crossing.
– On January 1, at 8:18 local time, a taxi driver driving a Volkswagen Polo, moving from Berezovka, drove to a railway crossing at a prohibited traffic light, where he collided with a freight train, the Ministry of Interior of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region told RG.
The freight train driver noticed the wagon and applied the emergency brake. However, the distance was short, so a collision could not be avoided.
With a strong blow, the Volkswagen Polo was thrown into a ditch. It is noted that the taxi driver survived.
