According to the interlocutor, last year the enterprises of the military-industrial complex increased the production of Krasnopol high-precision guided projectiles of 152 mm caliber for barrel artillery howitzers several times. And in 2023, they plan to produce even more.
“The high accuracy of Krasnopol shells makes it possible to hit individual enemy targets of small size, including mobile ones, for example, tanks, including Abrams and Leopard, which are to be delivered to Ukraine,” the agency quoted the interlocutor as saying.
It was recently reported that Russian artillery is actively using Krasnopol high-precision guided projectiles when shelling Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Vugledar, helping to destroy enemy forces in dense urban areas.
Previously, this projectile was modified for mortar and “airline” use. Now it is equipped with a jet engine and aims at the target with a laser.
