According to the investigation, the victims died on the night of June 4-5 from intoxication with an unidentified substance. The day before, they had consumed an alcohol-containing drink purchased from a Novokuibyshevsk store and supplied by a company located in the Krasnoglinsky district of Samara.
It was previously reported that from June 3 to 5 in Dimitrovgrad and Ulyanovsk, 14 cases of alcohol poisoning were recorded, eight of them fatal. According to preliminary data, the victims consumed cider bought in local shops.
The products were supplied by an entrepreneur from the Krasnoglinsky district of the Samara region. At the enterprise, according to information from the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Ulyanovsk Region, investigative actions are currently underway. The businessman has been arrested.
