In the Georgievsky district of the Stavropol Territory today around 16.00 a major accident occurred in which six people died at the scene, three more were hospitalized with injuries, later one of the victims died in the hospital.
Toyota Camry and VAZ-2107 collided at kilometer 304 of the Kochubey-Neftekumsk-Zelenokumsk-Mineralnye Vody highway (near the village of Obilnoye), according to the press service of the regional traffic police.
Two people were in the foreign car (the father and his 10-year-old son), they died. Seven people were traveling in a domestic passenger car: four died on the spot, three were taken to hospital in intensive care in serious condition. Later it became known that the passenger VAZ died from his injuries. Now there are two passengers of the “seven” in the hospital: an adult man and a five-year-old boy.
“According to updated data, the driver of a Toyota Camry, a 31-year-old resident of the Levokumsky district, who overtook in the oncoming lane and collided with a VAZ-2107, caused a car accident,” the state traffic inspectorate said.
