The drug was intended to be administered to patients with HIV infection. It is intended for pre-exposure prophylaxis of COVID-19.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Transbaikal Territory will investigate the incident as part of a criminal case initiated under paragraph “e” of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of power) . The perpetrator of the incident faces up to 10 years in prison.
