In the winter of 2023, the girl’s mother went to the hospital complaining of high fever and digestive problems in her daughter. The doctor-in-training at the infectious diseases department incorrectly assessed the child’s condition and did not call the doctor on duty. She herself prescribed the wrong treatment and did not identify any reason for hospitalization, the prosecutor’s office of the Trans-Baikal Territory reports.
The next day, the girl’s condition deteriorated significantly. The anesthesiologist-resuscitator who arrived by ambulance did not perform the necessary resuscitation during transportation from the Uletovsky district to Chita.
The girl died of acute diffuse fibrinous-ulcerative-hemorrhagic enterocolitis.
The criminal case was sent for consideration to the Chernovsky District Court in Chita.
