The incident was reported to the Republic Ministry of Emergency Situations on Wednesday at 12:13 local time: a wooden structure fell on the children. No one died, but schoolchildren were injured. “They are in satisfactory condition,” the ministry said.
The regional government clarified that six first grade students were injured. According to Elvira Pinchuk, the deputy prime minister in charge of medical care, five children were sent to Izhevsk for further examination and a schoolgirl received medical assistance on the spot.
The fact was already controlled by the authorities. The Zavyalovsky district prosecutor’s office organized an inspection of the causes and conditions that contributed to the damage to the health of minors as a result of the collapse of a building on the school grounds, the supervisory authority noted.
Pre-investigation control was also organized by the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
