Oleg Gazmanov a popular Russian singer was arrested in absentia by a Ukrainian court after activists accused him of trespassing on Ukraine’s border. Ukraine’s prosecutor general said Gazmanov was arrested because he violated the territorial integrity of the country.
Oleg Gazmanov has consistently positioned himself as a patriot of the country. The singer turned 70 this year, and she has often proven this by word and deed. Oleg is known for her interpretation of “Officers.” She fully supported President Vladimir Putin’s efforts in the annexation of Crimea. Kyiv residents didn’t welcome her support, but Oleg was ready to be a wall behind Russian troops.
