Prior to this, the Yakutia Transport Prosecutor’s Office conducted an inspection of the implementation of legislation on navigation safety, the press service of the supervisory agency reports.
The tugboat that sank in May 2024 was found to be a threat to navigation, damaging the environment and interfering with inland waterway transport activities.
As a result, the prosecution made a submission to the company’s director.
“The shipowner removed the sunken vessel from the water area and the violations of the law were eliminated,” the department said in a statement.
