It is to be noted that the incident occurred on Tuesday night. Santosh Lohar, who was working on the railway construction, was sleeping in the camp when he was attacked by a snake.
“Instead of panicking, an enraged Santosh grabbed the snake with an iron rod and bit it three times, eventually killing it,” the post said.
Workers immediately took the man to the nearest hospital, where it was determined that his life was not in danger.
Lohar later explained his action to reporters as a local superstition. In his home village, it is believed that a poisonous snake must be bitten twice to neutralize its venom after the bite.
However, many local residents are certain that the snake was not actually poisonous.
