“Each side withdraws 15 kilometers from their current positions to create a new demilitarized zone,” Subianto was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency.
The minister also stressed the importance of a ceasefire, and also proposed the deployment of peacekeeping forces in the aforementioned area. He added that in the disputed territories new referendums could be held under the auspices of the UN. According to him, Jakarta expresses his willingness to participate in the implementation of such a peaceful settlement.
