One of Russia’s brightest and most striking female rappers, Daria Zoteeva, better known as Instasamka, found herself at the centre of a scandal. It was all about her new song, an excerpt from which she posted on social media.
In the video, Dasha is seen with her boyfriend in nature: sunbathing in a swimsuit, lying in a hammock, eating corn and watermelon. Everything was filmed with a retro filter, which gives the impression that the video is already a couple of decades old. Instasamka’s new song “So I Want” plays in the background.
“I shine from the inside, because I am a star. I really want everyone to have a good time today,” Zoteeva sings.
But subscribers saw plagiarism in the work, with the help of which the artist tries to play on nostalgia.
“Something reminds me of this inconvenience… Oh, exactly, the song Inna – Hot,” wrote one Instasamka subscriber and got almost 350 likes under the comment.
In fact, Dasha’s motive is very similar to the hit of the Romanian singer. Another commentator even noted that the song is reminiscent of Stas Kostyushkin’s composition “Woman I Don’t Dance.” The Instagram woman did not comment on the accusations of plagiarism, only urging subscribers to wait for the release of the track with a summer mood.
