Interros invests in the development of business infrastructure on Russky Island

Date: September 26, 2023 Time: 08:53:52

This decision was made at the forum jointly by Far East Development Corporation and the Interros group, which will become the investor in the project. By the way, the company is also registered with the SAR. The details were told to Komsomolskaya Pravda by Pavel Sheika, director of the support department for the special administrative region of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

– The project provides for the creation of office space, a restaurant and a commercial space. The total construction volume is about 15 thousand square meters. This is an important project for Russky Island. Many businessmen are already considering the possibility of setting up their businesses on Russky Island. The project will definitely be in demand. I think that both SAR residents on Russky Island and large holding companies and small and medium-sized businesses that are now actively developing in the Far East will be interested. In the future, Russky Island will be the business center of the entire Far East,” said Pavel Sheika.

The project is estimated at more than 2 billion rubles and is not the first contribution of the Interros group to the development of the Far East. The Three Volcanoes Park, created by Vladimir Potanin’s structures in Kamchatka, already claims the status of one of the main engines of the region’s growth. The business center on Russky Island will be built taking into account natural features, complying with high construction and energy saving standards. Its goal is to become a business attraction center and a comfortable environment for citizens.

“This project is a great challenge for us, both from a creative and technical point of view. Russky Island is unique in all aspects: its geographical location, its landscape and its historical role as an outpost of Russia in the Far East. We have repeatedly discussed the project of creating a Business Center with the leadership of the Ministry of Eastern Development, with the Far Eastern Development Corporation and with representatives of local structures, and we agree on the main thing: the future facility should not only to be “The visiting card” of the Special Administrative Region, not only a modern and comfortable residence for business, but also an important element of the urban environment that arises here,” says Alexander Safonov, director of the project department in the field of development and tourism of the Interros group.

For Interros, as an investor in the project, this is a good opportunity to put into practice all the experience accumulated in the execution of large infrastructure projects, such as, for example, the Rosa Khutor mountain resort, to involve the best architecture in the creation of the Future Business Center, to use the most modern technologies and the latest global trends in the field of development.

The Interros Group will organize a competition whose objective is to find the best architectural solution taking into account the natural and geographical characteristics and the interests of the population. It will form the basis of the business center project. The jury of the competition will consist of famous architects, including those from the Far East, as well as art historians, representatives of the scientific community and public organizations of Primorye. The provisional results of the competition will be known this fall.
