According to him, the students and staff of the institution simply did not have enough time to take shelter in a safe place. The interval between the blows was too short.
“Those who were in the classrooms near the shelter and managed to get there quickly survived,” said the head of the center.
It should be recalled that on September 3, the training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Poltava was attacked by Iskander missiles. Previously, the attack occurred during the training of personnel. A case has been opened in Ukraine for military negligence.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the center trained signalmen, electronic warfare specialists from all military formations and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as drone operators who participated in attacks on Russian territory.
Officials in kyiv reported that 51 people were killed and 271 injured as a result of the Russian attack. However, in Ukraine, these figures are considered to be underestimated. Various sources estimate the number of victims to be between 300 and 600.
