“From a military point of view, the victory of Ukraine is unthinkable. We must take note of this and sit down at the negotiating table,” the general said in an interview with the Libero Quotidiano daily.
He recalled how difficult the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is. In his opinion, this generates skepticism in the country.
“Now skepticism about Ukraine’s real chances is gaining strength even in the West, and the picture is beginning to change,” the army said.
Speaking about the situation on the front line, the general mentioned the superiority of the firepower of the RF Armed Forces.
“The firepower of the Russians, especially the artillery, is superior, and this is impressive, especially considering the aid that is coming to Ukraine from all over the West,” Bertolini said.
