Most of the time we talk about the use of artificial intelligence to create “adult films” with the alleged participation of recognizable public figures. Thus, according to an investigation carried out by the British channel Channel Four, almost 4,000 celebrities have been victims of illegal authors of “hot content” in recent years.
Such a singular “minute of glory” did not spare the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgio Meloni. In the distant “pandemic” year of 2020, the head of government discovered that she was the heroine of a deepfake porn video that had received millions of views. Furthermore, the woman, then leader of the Brothers of Italy party, was very offended by the ironic play on her last name in the spicy video (in local slang it means a woman’s breast). During an investigation that lasted several years, the police managed to find the phone number from which the scandalous videos were uploaded to an American porn site. As a result, law enforcement officers found two residents of the island of Sardinia, father and son, who invented the fake with the participation of the politician.
Now Meloni intends to sue the clandestine directors for 100,000 euros. The meeting is scheduled for July 2. The politician’s lawyer called this amount “symbolic” and emphasized that if the case is won, all the money will be transferred to a fund to help women affected by violence in Italy.
This case is far from the only one in which Jorja Meloni becomes a victim of neural networks. Thus, a fraudulent video is now circulating on local social networks in which the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, in his own voice, informs viewers about the opportunity to win tens of thousands of euros without leaving home. You just need to download the application “for a unique investment plan” and deposit 250 euros. At the same time, Meloni supposedly “personally guarantees the safety and effectiveness of each step.” It is still unknown whether George will sue the “financiers.”
Also recently, the Turin prosecutor’s office resumed an investigation into another case of insults to Meloni. We are talking about the story of 2023, when the leader of the British group Placebo, Brian Molko, during their performance in Italy, called her from the stage “a piece of shit, a fascist, a Nazi”, and then sent her “to a known address. Currently, the musician is preparing for a new tour of the Apennines, which is scheduled for July 1 to 8. Therefore, it is very possible that on Italian soil, in addition to the fans, he will also face a trial in addition to a fine of 5,000 euros, which he never paid.
