Many look forward to the New Year as manna from heaven. Well, first of all, we are tired from the year and it would be time to fall into the long New Year holidays. And secondly, before the New Year in many companies, employees are paid an additional salary – 13 and various bonuses. Has this trend continued this year?

KP.RU conducted a survey on this topic among its subscribers on social networks. 10.3 thousand people attended. And this is the result we got: only 7% of the respondents said that this year they will be paid 13th salary. And 72% of the respondents admitted that their companies do not have any additional payment.

– The fact that 72% of respondents said that they do not receive any additional payment for the New Year is, of course, a lot. In recent years, many more people received New Year’s bonuses, bonuses and the 13th salary, career consultant Galina Bobkova told KP.RU. – At the same time, it is now absolutely understandable and natural, because most companies live in savings mode.

According to Galina Bobkova, companies stop paying bonuses, premiums and allowances not for a good life.

– On the one hand, employers understand that if they let the staff leave now, then when the economic situation normalizes, they will have to recruit people feverishly and, accordingly, it will be more expensive. On the other hand, we now have huge hidden unemployment: many companies, trying to stay afloat, transfer people to reduced work hours and cut wages accordingly. Therefore, we must pay tribute to those employers who, although they saved on the payment of New Year’s bonuses and the 13th salary, at the same time retained staff as much as possible, – notes Galina Bobkova.

The expert advises: those employees who will not receive bonuses and bonuses this year should not be offended by employers and resign.

– The situation on the labor market is now uncertain, not the fact that by closing the door of your previous job, you will find a better job, – says Galina Bobkova.
