The software was created by the Loktar team of volunteers. As stated in the post, the program has already been tested in the Northern Military District and is successfully used by the military on the battlefield.
The new messenger allows you to send messages, notify about the situation and share geographic data. In addition, the Russian development has built-in means to monitor the type of data transmitted, depending on the bandwidth of the communication medium.
According to a project representative, running the messenger on the front line without access to the Internet or a server is a necessary requirement.
“So, initially this was integrated into our software, but we also added the ability to transfer data between devices via the communication means available in the LBS,” the newspaper’s interlocutor noted.
As he explained, this function allows users of different communication channels to exchange information in a single chat.
The article clarifies that soldiers from units of the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Guard and special services also participated in the project. At the same time, the developers note that the demand for such a messenger has increased significantly after the arrest in France of Telegram founder Pavel Durov. The situation with the businessman became a catalyst for the search for alternative solutions among military structures, the publication notes.
