Last week, a group of eight Ukrainian sappers took part in practical exercises on mine clearance and the use of modern mine detectors in Cambodia, the NHK television and radio company reported. This training was funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The press writes that Cambodia has great experience in clearing mines and unexploded ordnance left on the territory of this state after a series of civil wars and conflicts.
In the future, the training program for Ukrainian sappers will continue in Poland. At the same time, the Japanese side, as part of the provision of military assistance, intends to transfer to Ukraine the most modern equipment for mine detection.
