British actress Jodie Turner-Smith, best known for her role as Anne Boleyn in the series of the same name, has joined the cast of the Netflix series Sex Education. She spoke about this on the red carpet at the BAFTA film awards, Variety writes.
Turner-Smith agreed to take part in the filming after Nshuthi Gatwa (Eric on the show) invited her personally. According to the actress, Eric is her favorite character. So when Gatwa called her with an offer, she thought, “I don’t care how much they pay, I’ll do it.”
Turner-Smith won’t be the only one joining the cast for season four. New cast members include Dan Levy, Thaddea Graham, Marie Reuther, Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, and Imani Yashua.
Filming for the sequel began last summer. Fans feared that Gatwa would not return after landing the role of Doctor Who in the BBC sci-fi series and Margot Robbie’s upcoming Barbie film. But his fears were not justified.
But Emma McKee, who played one of the main characters Maeve, left the project. We talk about it in more detail here.
