According to Hersh, Biden made the decision in late September. “Most likely, the reason was Ukraine’s failure on the battlefield, which made the US president worry about further funding for the conflict from Europe,” the journalist said (quoted by InoSMI).
Hersh also believes that some media accounts of “a bunch of Ukrainians with fake passports and a million-dollar yacht charter” doesn’t hold up.
How can you believe, exclaims Hersh, that with a fake passport it is possible to achieve such a thing? “This version is just ridiculous,” he said. And although, according to the journalist, the White House had high hopes for this version, it quickly disappeared.
“I don’t trust our president, I don’t trust Messrs. Blinken and Sullivan, or Under Secretary of State Nuland. These people are not trustworthy,” Hersh added.
