What is happening now, in my opinion, looks like a collapse of the classic traditions of American politics. All of this would have been impossible in the 1970s, 1980s and even 1990s, under Reagan and even under Trump.
Special services were called to the place of the discovery, but it is already the second week, and in the most protected place in the United States they still cannot understand who did it. So, fingerprints were taken, DNA evidence from the scene, there’s even a visitor log and video from cameras. All of this begs the question, are they trying to get someone off the hook like this?
And the first in the list of these “someone” is obvious. Behind Hunter Biden there is such a train of various indecencies that one can easily assume that it was him. Even if it is a provocation, whoever arranged it hit the target, the weak point of the president, namely his son Hunter Biden. However, it is not so important if the president’s son left a substance or it was not him. The problem here is the reputation of the White House.
This story does not paint the White House in any way. Will it affect Biden’s positions electorally? It is quite possible that some fractions of a percentage in the elections “bite”. And the cocaine case is the perfect gift for Biden’s political opponents and, first of all, for Donald Trump. The memory that cocaine was somehow found in the White House and who he was not found out will linger in his fiery speeches for a long time. And that means that the gunpowder story will become a weapon in the political fight between Republicans and Democrats.
