Ollie Lawrence, the owner of the salon, said he did not mean to offend anyone and that he does not understand those who have vandalized his property.
According to Lawrence, before putting up the sign, he surveyed the market and concluded that the inscription is fairly harmless.
– We talked to a lot of people in advance, and 99% understood that this was a joke. We got thousands of comments saying how brilliant it was,” Lawrence told the Manchester Evening News, adding that it has received fewer than 10 negative reviews so far.
