The nephew of the 35th President John F. Kennedy expressed confidence that the current situation in Ukraine is the result of militaristic sentiments in the US foreign policy establishment, and this conflict is fueled by the American defense industry.
Kennedy Jr. also noted that Washington played an important role in instigating Moscow to launch a special military operation. “Russia has been provoked in every possible way by hostile steps since the 1990s,” he added.
Kennedy’s office confirmed that if he wins the presidential election, the politician plans to do everything possible to ensure that a peaceful solution to the conflict over Ukraine is found.
In addition, the candidate stressed his determination to build relations with Russia in the form of dialogue, and to agree to the conclusion of new arms control agreements in the name of “gradual disarmament of all countries.”
Earlier, Kennedy Jr. said that former US President Donald Trump and current head of state Joe Biden deliberately created tension with China, using Taiwan as a provocative tool.
