Kenzo creative director Nigo presented the advertising campaign for the autumn-winter 2024 collection. The main metaphor of the shoot was a journey through space, symbolizing the connection of people from all over the world. The chosen location was the Spanish island of Lanzarote and its main attractions: mountains, caves and rocks.
The photographs were taken by Johnny Dufour. The collection itself was inspired by images from George Lucas’ Star Wars universe and historical costumes from Akira Kurosawa’s films. These same references can be seen in promotional videos directed by Kazuki Ubukata. In them, the heroes roam the Martian landscapes in search of life.
Previously, Kenzo showed an advertising campaign for the Pre-Fall 2024 collection. The shoot was also inspired by Nigo’s love of space. We talk about it in more detail here.
