The Venice Film Festival will host the premiere of Kevin Costner’s new film, Horizons: Part 2. Viewers will be able to see the film on September 7. The first part was presented at Cannes.
Produced by New Line Cinema, the release was postponed indefinitely due to the box office failure of Horizons: Part 1: at the domestic box office, it grossed only $11 million in its opening weekend. The total box office for 10 days was $22 million.
This is Costner’s first major project. The actor invested $38 of his own money in it and the rest was paid for by investors. The story tells of the settlement of the American West before and after the Civil War.
It was previously reported that Drew Barrymore and Christina Ricci will star in the documentary “Child Star.” Demi Lovato will direct. We talked about it in more detail here.
