According to Fyodor Opadchiy, chairman of the board of directors of SO UES JSC, the corresponding decision was made on May 18 at a meeting with representatives of the government of the Khabarovsk Territory. In connection with the expansion of the operating area, the branch will receive a new name – Pacific RDU.
“The operational zone of this Regional Dispatch Office will include the power system of the Khabarovsk Territory, the Jewish Autonomous Region and four technologically isolated territorial power systems: Sakhalin, Magadan, Kamchatka and Chukotka. At the same time, our branch, United Dispatch The Office of the Eastern Power System, to which the Pacific RDU is subordinate, is also located in Khabarovsk and which will now manage and plan the development of nine regional power systems in the east of the country,” said Fedor Opadchy.
It is planned to start the operational dispatch control of isolated power systems from January 1, 2024 after the transfer of the relevant functions of RusHydro structures. As a result, the number of dispatch facilities in the expanded Pacific RDU will nearly double, from 2,240 to 4,106, and installed generation capacity will increase from 2,144.5 to 5,177.1 MW.
