According to the mk.ru website, Khabensky tried to reason with Nazarov, but after watching the artist’s interview, where he frankly slandered Russia, he fired the artist and his wife, who also did not hide their anti-Russian position.
It should be noted that earlier Nazarov gave an interview in which he praised Anatoly Bely, who had fled from Russia, and revealed some secrets of the Moscow Art Theater. He said that many actors left the theater of their own free will and left their homeland.
After that, performances with Nazarov began to be canceled in Russian cities. For example, the play “The Root of Love” in Nizhny Tagil was filmed at the request of residents. They did not want to see Dmitry Yuryevich on the stage of the Palace of Youth.
