A year-round amusement park, a convention and exhibition center, as well as housing will be created in Vladivostok as part of the Far Eastern Quarter program in the Sakhalin region. Nikolai Zapryagaev, general director of the KRDV, spoke about this in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“In this EEF, the KRDV and the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia signed investment agreements worth 3 trillion 400 billion rubles. These are different projects, some of which we have been working on for a long time. We can say “That the eighth Eastern Economic Forum will serve as a starting point for the development of new projects on Russky Island. We have worked to expand the priority development territory “Primorie”, which is now located on Russky Island,” Zapryagaev said.
Zapryagaev noted that the first two agreements after the expansion of the priority development zone were signed at this forum. It is planned to create an amusement park open all year round, just like in Sochi, he added.
“This year the anchor investor Mantera will begin engineering studies. In addition, a convention and exhibition center will be created on the island, which will also expand the necessary infrastructure, including for holding business events. We also signed a major agreement in the Far Eastern neighborhood in the Sakhalin region,” said Zapryagaev.
According to him, within the framework of the Far Eastern Quarter program, social infrastructure for people’s lives will also be created, including kindergartens and schools.
