The delegation was eagerly awaited at the school. The director of the educational institution herself came out to meet the car in which the stands were brought, and the curious children, fortunately it was a change, literally glued to the windows.
– These manuals will greatly facilitate the work of the teacher, as they contain a lot of useful material, – said the acting director of the school, Zulmira Khodjmambetova. – I confess, I myself was interested in reading what they presented. Our children study Russian language and literature with great pleasure. We often participate in Olympics on these topics and have prizes.
The information at the stands really turned out to be very interesting. It is also about the history of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan. It turns out that in 1873, the first Governor-General of Turkestan, Konstantin von Kaufmann, developed and submitted to the tsarist government a special plan for the organization of the educational unit and public education in the region entrusted to him.
Also, cognitive statistics are presented at the stands: in how many countries of the world the Russian language is being studied. There is also a message that many of the world’s eminent chess players have mastered it to one degree or another. In addition, the Russian language is included in the mandatory training program for foreign astronauts.
– 2023 in the CIS countries has been declared the Year of the Russian Language in the Commonwealth countries, – recalled the KRSU vice-rector for information and public relations, candidate of historical sciences Leonid Sumarokov. – Our university decided to renovate the Russian language classroom of the Kantian school for its beginning. On the stands, we try to place information that will be useful to children in the classroom. Of course, some of this can be taken as a hint, but I think it will only benefit children.

According to Leonid Sumarokov, more than 500 schools in Kyrgyzstan are involved in projects to popularize the Russian language, which are carried out by KRSU. The university holds Olympics on the topic, as well as various thematic events and promotions, organizes, together with colleagues from the North Caucasian Federal University and the Pushkin Institute of Russian Language, advanced training courses for teachers.
KRSU is actively involved in the popularization of the Russian language in the republic and the preparation of teaching materials for schools. They are transferred to secondary educational institutions in the Kyrgyz regions. With the help of KRSU, in August 2022, Russian language and literature classes upgraded schools in the cities of Razzakov, Kadamzhai, Tash-Kumyr, Nookat and Naryn, and several villages in the Issyk-Kul region.
A year earlier, the university provided such support to three schools in the Chui, Issyk-Kul and Osh regions.
