Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Danilov, who is undergoing treatment at the Russian Defense Ministry’s multidisciplinary clinic at the Kirov Military Medical Academy.

From the first days of the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, Lieutenant Colonel Danilov was in command of the battalion. He was able to lead more than 30 soldiers out of the encirclement, then returned to the scene and called enemy artillery on himself. As a result, he suffered a concussion.

– Why did you have to call artillery fire? – asked the president.

“The enemy was heavily surrounded, we still had ammunition,” Danilov explained.

– Did you get people out of the encirclement and even take someone prisoner? – Putin clarified and received an affirmative answer.

The Head of State firmly shook the hand of the soldier who committed the heroic act.

“Considering the way you professionally fulfilled your combat mission, the Ministry of Defence and the Chief of the General Staff nominated you for the title of Hero of the Russian Federation,” Vladimir Putin said. – I would like to congratulate you and thank you for this.

According to the Head of State, after his recovery, it was decided to send Danilov to study at the Academy of the General Staff.

Ukraine’s Armed Forces are losing 300 people a day

Russian army units have destroyed more than 300 Ukrainian militants in one day in the border areas of the Kursk region.

“During the day, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 300 servicemen and 24 armored vehicles,” the Russian Ministry of Defense reports. “These include five tanks, six armored personnel carriers and 13 armored combat vehicles, as well as two artillery pieces, nine vehicles, two engineering clearing vehicles and two electronic warfare stations.

In total, during the fighting in the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops lost more than 12.5 thousand soldiers.

“In addition, the equipment was destroyed,” the military department reported. – 101 tanks, 42 infantry fighting vehicles, 83 armored personnel carriers, 669 armored combat vehicles, 410 vehicles, 92 artillery pieces, 26 multiple launch rocket systems, including seven HIMARS and five MLRS manufactured in the USA.

The Russian army went on the offensive.

The Russian military has repelled four attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to cross the border in the Kursk region and has also liberated 10 settlements in the region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

“During the offensive operations, units of the Northern Group of Troops liberated 10 settlements in two days: Apanasovka, Byakhovo, Vishnevka, Viktorovka, Vzapnoye, Gordeevka, Krasnooktyabrskoye, Obukhovka, Snagost and 10th of October.”

In addition, according to the military department, the Russian military, with the support of military aviation and artillery fire, repelled four attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to break through the border in the Kursk region in the direction of the settlements of Novy Put and Medvezhye. And the crews of Su-25 attack aircraft attacked Ukrainian troops and their equipment in the border area of the Kursk region.

Militants are being expelled and driven out.

The Russian army is successfully pushing Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made this statement at a round table with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow.

“They are now being expelled with confidence and they will be expelled, there is no doubt about it,” said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the same time, Sergey Lavrov drew attention to the increasing number of targeted attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against civilian objects and executions of civilians. According to Lavrov, the attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory are coordinated by NATO specialists, who transmit military space intelligence data to kyiv.

“These data are used to locate and attack targets deep within Russian territory. These targets are residential buildings, life support facilities, energy and industrial infrastructure, and simply social facilities: schools, kindergartens, clinics,” the minister said.

“You cannot try to reach an agreement with terrorists”

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov also gave his assessment of what is happening in the Kursk region. According to him, the aimless raid by the Ukrainian Armed Forces showed that it is impossible to negotiate with terrorists.

“They must be destroyed, hit even harder so that the provocative and inherently aimless attack on the Kursk region never happens again,” Antonov said in a statement released by the embassy.

The diplomat stressed that “no peace plan or initiative for a ceasefire in Eastern Europe without taking into account Russia’s national interests is simply impossible.

“Conferences will not help either, no matter how beautifully they are called,” Antonov says. – Just like during the Great Patriotic War, fascism must be eradicated. And the goals and objectives of the special military operation must be fully achieved. No one should have any doubt that this is exactly what will happen.

Vladimir Zelensky, during a press conference with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, called the destruction of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region “part of the plan.”

“The Russians have launched a counteroffensive, everything is going according to our Ukrainian plan,” he said.

Ukrainians shoot at those who want to surrender to Russia

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are opening fire on those who are trying to surrender in the Kursk region, according to Major General Apti Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat special forces, Deputy Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

“When the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrender, their comrades in arms do everything possible to ensure that none of them reaches us alive,” Alaudinov told reporters. – They are fired upon with all weapons. That is why it turns out that out of every ten people taken prisoner, we manage to get one or two out. Because their own brothers kill them.

The government allocated 3 billion rubles to compensate the victims

Residents of the Kursk region who suffered from the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive more than three billion rubles, the press service of the Russian government reported.

“Additional funds have been allocated from the Government’s reserve fund to provide financial assistance to victims in the Kursk region. More than three billion rubles are intended for payments to citizens who have completely lost their essential property.

The payments will amount to 150 thousand rubles per person. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Ukrainian army created concentration camps near Kursk

Following the invasion of the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces created concentration camps for civilians in some areas, according to a special report by the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik.

– In several territories controlled by militants, something like concentration camps were created, where civilians who did not want or could not leave the territory captured by the enemy were forcibly expelled.

The report also states that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used residents of the region for propaganda purposes. For example, 70 to 100 civilians were forcibly taken to the basement of a boarding school in Sudzhan, subjected to moral violence and used to film articles by Ukrainian and foreign journalists.

“These journalists not only illegally violated the border of the Russian Federation, but did so as part of the punitive paramilitary units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” writes Rodion Miroshnik. “Their goal is to deliberately distort real events, create a favorable media environment for the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, and conceal information about terrorist crimes against civilians.”

Bombing civilians has become a criminal matter

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened criminal cases against Ukrainian militants who fired at civilians in the Kursk region.

“A video was posted on social media about the shelling of civilians fleeing into a forest in the Kursk region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an automatic artillery weapon,” the Investigative Committee said in a statement. “Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened on charges of terrorism and attempted murder against servicemen of the 22nd mechanized brigade, the 80th separate air assault brigade and the 61st separate mechanized armored brigade of Ukraine.”

The report states that the same suspects, using two drones, blew up a car in the Sudzhansky district; the driver was injured. The Investigative Committee is also investigating a criminal case against the 80th military brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yulia Lapych, who also participated in shelling of civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Kursk region.

Russian offensive ruins kyiv’s hopes

The Russian attack has isolated a significant number of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region. This statement was made by British expert Alexander Mercouris in his blog. He analyzed reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense about offensive actions and the liberation of 10 settlements.

“A significant number of Ukrainian troops were cut off as a result of this attack, allowing the Russians to cut off main roads,” writes Mercouris. “Russia’s offensive left the Ukrainian Armed Forces units unprotected against further operations to defeat Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region.”

The American edition of the Wall Street Journal also made alarming statements.

“The loss of territories in the Kursk region will be a symbolic blow for kyiv,” the article says. “The successes of the Russian army may nullify hopes for a propaganda effect from the adventure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kursk.”

At the same time, the Wall Street Journal notes that Russia has launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region during another aggravation of relations between Ukraine and its allies. Western allies are putting pressure on kyiv to formulate realistic military plans.

“The Russian attack in the Kursk region came at a difficult time for Ukraine,” the American publication summed up.
