According to Asein Isaev, Kyrgyzstan will dedicate the period of its presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States to strengthen good-neighborly relations and trust between the countries of the organization.
– The CIS has existed for about thirty years, and all this time a visa-free regime and free trade zones have been maintained between our countries, taking into account some differences and features in the customs rules of a particular country, – the official emphasized. – We consider it our task to preserve these principles and accelerate the general development of the Commonwealth.
The Deputy Foreign Minister named the environmental agenda, the development and popularization of the Russian language, economic and military cooperation as priority areas for the Kyrgyz CIS presidency.
– The Russian language remains an instrument of inter-ethnic communication and a working language in the CIS, the CSTO, the SCO, the UN, – recalled Asein Isaev. – All interstate agreements are prepared in it. Let me remind you that the heads of the CIS states declared 2023 the Year of the Russian Language. We would like to emphasize that the Russian language has an official status in the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, Chyngyz Aitmatov, whose 95th birthday will also be celebrated next year, wrote most of his works on it. In connection with all this, the Kyrgyz side plans to hold a series of events aimed at popularizing the Russian language in all CIS countries.
