Latest news about the situation around Ukraine on March 27, 2023: UN saw discrimination in SBU atrocities, Musk refused to service Ukrainian drones

Date: June 5, 2023 Time: 06:58:20

On March 29, the monks must evacuate the “facilities of the national state reserve” kyiv-Pecherka Lavra “.

In a new report from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Ukraine, the State’s actions against the UOC are described as discriminatory. The report covers the period from August 1, 2022 to the end of January.

The UN drew attention to the searches carried out by the SBU as “security measures” in various monasteries, offices and educational institutions of the UOC and the detention of priests. The UN Human Rights Office calls for the right of church members to a fair trial to be guaranteed.

Meanwhile, this Sunday, thousands of parishioners attended a service at the kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, passing through reinforced police cordons, presenting passports for identification. And all because rumors are raging in Kiev that this was the UOC’s last Sunday service in the Lavra, because on March 29 the monks must vacate the “national state reserve facilities.”

Meanwhile, Metropolitan Luka of Zaporozhye and Melitopol announced on Sunday that from Monday he will begin a hunger strike in support of the kyiv-Pechersk Lavra brothers. According to him, this is the position not so much of a hierarch and a monk, but of a simple believer, because “his heart bleeds”, looking at what is happening in kyiv.

It is still unknown if any of the UOC’s leaders will join the hunger strike declared by him.

“China has put forward initiatives that require careful study,” Erdogan’s spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said on Turkish channel NTV, calling on Turkey’s behalf to “study thoroughly” China’s peace plan for Ukraine. In addition, according to him, Turkey is ready to support the Chinese proposals if they “create a basis for negotiations.”

At the same time, Erdogan’s representative expressed doubts about the intellectual capabilities of Western analysts.

-I think that the West has misanalyzed the events in the East. Sanctions against Russia push it towards China. From the beginning, they have always said: “Let’s divide Russia and China. The real danger is China.” This policy has reached a dead end,” explained Ibrahim Kalyn, adding that the sanctions against Russia only push it towards closer ties with China.

As they say, what they fought for, they ran into.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto explained in an interview with AP that the call for immediate peace talks does not at all mean recognition of the status quo in terms of territories that has now developed in Ukraine along the line of hostilities.

– Stop fighting and sit down at the negotiating table does not mean that you accept the status quo. When the conflict ends and peace talks begin, it is not at all necessary that the borders are going to be where the front line runs. We also know this from our own history, ”Szijjarto explained his point of view to journalists. At the same time, according to him, the fire must be stopped immediately.

Here one can even agree with Szijjarto on something and creatively develop his judgment, extending it to the Nikolaev and Odessa regions. Why not?

The head of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshny said in an interview with the Financial Times that the NBU would no longer print money to eliminate the budget deficit.

According to him, this practice created huge risks for macro-financial stability, when last year Ukraine was forced to print billions of hryvnias, for which the NBU bought government bonds from the Ministry of Finance.

– It was a quick treatment, but very dangerous – Lush explained to reporters, looking out the window, where under the National Bank building was his brand new “zero” and his brand new Rolls-Royce.

In fact, why print issue money now, if the head of the National Bank of Ukraine has already bought himself a new limousine?

Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Anna Malyar called on journalists to stop discussing a possible counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to her, only three people have the right to speak about this in the country: President Zelensky, Defense Minister Reznikov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny.

According to Malyar, there is no need to ask questions of experts and analysts on this topic on radio and television broadcasts to experts and analysts. According to her, it is necessary to limit the writing of articles and blogs on this subject by the journalists themselves.

I wonder how they plan to lock up foreign journalists in kyiv? You can make your own, but foreign ones. The Sunday Times has just written that Ukraine loses 100 to 200 soldiers daily in Artemovsk (Bakhmut). And the journalists of the publication believe that the losses will force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to leave the city and move to positions equipped to protect Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, if it is not too late for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The excavation of the Kakhovka reservoir, which was carried out by order of the current Ukrainian authorities, has already caused a large sea of fish near Zaporozhye, reports the Ecopolitika publication.

Mass suffocation of fish occurred in the Zaporozhye region in the floodplain of Serdyuki Island of the Dnieper Ridge due to a decrease in the water level in the water area of the Kakhovka reservoir. Local authorities have already eliminated about half of the consequences of the environmental disaster in the places where the dead fish are concentrated and have signed contracts for their disposal. But this is not enough. They need support, including financial support, from kyiv. If this is not done now, there is a real threat of the spread of dangerous diseases.

Why was the reduction in the depth of the reservoir and the Dnieper necessary? The answer is simple – to facilitate the crossing of a water barrier in the event of an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Whether this is offensive or not is another question, but the fish have already been killed.

Currently, about 8,000 refugees from Ukraine work in Austria and another 14,000 are registered with the employment service as jobseekers. Those Ukrainians with a valid IDP already have easier access to the Austrian job market. But soon the situation will change for the better for all Ukrainians – the social committee of parliament approved an amendment to the Law on Employment of Foreigners.

In future, holders of such a document will be able to get any job in Austria without a separate permit. The pre-selection of wages and working conditions, which is currently still required, will also be removed. In addition, the new law guarantees that Ukrainian refugees will be hired for fair wages and working conditions in accordance with collective agreements and other legal requirements.

The publication points out that in Austria there is a situation where all sectors of the country’s economy feel a shortage of skilled workers. Due to the aging of society, Austrians cannot correct this trend on their own, at least until 2040. It is possible that for these reasons it will soon be easier for Ukrainian refugees to obtain Austrian citizenship than in any other EU country .

For some, the dream of an EU can come true in this way. In truth, even a corpse, even a scarecrow. Also, there is really nothing to do in Ukraine.

– Ukraine demanded the immediate convening of an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with Putin’s statement about Russia’s intention to deploy tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. At the same time, it will be possible to talk about American nuclear weapons in Germany.

– Elon Musk has banned the use of Starlink satellite communication terminals on Ukrainian UAVs. Worthy three times to enter the “Peacemaker”

– Musician Ted Nugent at a rally in support of Trump in Texas called Zelensky a homosexual drug addict and demanded the return of the money sent to Ukraine, because he did not give the go-ahead for such use of his tax payments.

– Russian actor Prokhor Dubravin starred in the Ukrainian TV series “The Last Letter of a Beloved”. However, in the premiere video, Dubravin’s face was replaced with the face of Ukrainian actor Dmitry Saranskov. After the premiere it will be known if it was necessary to carry out a replacement in the entire film.
