Date: September 29, 2023 Time: 17:28:45

This year, the international Lendoc Film Festival of new feature films and documentaries in Russia and neighboring countries will take place for the fourth time. From August 25 to 29, guests are expected to watch screenings at iconic St. Petersburg cinemas: Aurora, Cinema House, and Rodina. The organizers have prepared a busy schedule with project screenings and debates, round tables with directors, pitching, conferences and master classes.

The 2023 program included ten films from different CIS countries. Among them is the drama “One Little Night Secret” by Natalia Meshchaninova, who filmed the series “Alice Can’t Wait” last year. The film premiered in Rotterdam, then it won the audience award at the Andrei Tarkovsky Zerkalo festival, which takes place in the city of Ivanovo.

Roman Mikhailov’s “Heritage” also managed to ride a little at various shows, and in Nizhny Novgorod he won the main prize at the “Bitter Fest”. Both tapes are about teenagers. In “One Little Night Secret”, Mira is forced to keep a terrible secret, and in “Heritage”, Ruslan wants to fulfill the last request of the village sorcerer.

Two paintings from Kazakhstan are also participating in the contest. In “Brothers”, the heroes go in search of a father they have never seen, and in “Steppe”, the defenders of nature have to risk their lives to fight against poachers. In addition, at the Lendoc Film Festival you can see “Fortuna” about a lucky lottery ticket, “Larks in a Burdock Field” about the relationship between brother and sister and “Uzbek Woman” about a girl who goes to the war after her husband.

Previously, the 2023 Chess & Jazz festival celebrated its 5th anniversary at the Hermitage Garden. Vladimir Presnyakov, Zoloto, Andro, Antokha MS and Erika Lundmoen performed at the event. We talk about it in more detail here.
