Leonardo DiCaprio and his colleague in the new film “Killers of the Flower Moon”, Lily Gladstone, became the heroes of the October cover of British Vogue. The actors participated in a photo session and talked about Martin Scorsese’s historical drama.
Lily and Leonardo posed for photographer Craig McDean. They tried on clothes from Chloé, Christopher John Rogers, Brunello Cucinelli and Gabriela Hearst. The publication’s former editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, was responsible for styling the shoot.
Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Lily Gladstone and Leonardo DiCaprio, tells the story of the injustices faced by the Osage Native Americans. The Vogue characters play real-life husband and wife Ernest and Molly Burkhart, an interracial couple living on the Osage Reservation in 1920s Oklahoma. Later, land rights and oil reserves made his tribe the richest per capita in the world and the center of the murderous attention of white inhabitants.
“Lily is just amazing in this picture. She carries the entire movie and the entire story. Marty knew instinctively that Lily was the one. There was a sincerity in her eyes that he saw even through the computer screen. “He had never seen Scorsese look at someone and immediately feel such an instinctive attraction,” DiCaprio says of his co-star.
The film is based on the popular science book of the same name by David Grann. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film stars Brendan Fraser, Jesse Plemons, country guitarists Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell, and former lead singer of the American rock band The White Stripes Jack White. The director co-wrote the script with Eric Roth and David Grann. You can see the trailer here.
