The idea resonated with many Russians: letters and parcels are sent to the front.
The service facilities of the postal and courier communication nodes resemble a hot shop. The staff of the 6th central node in the Moscow-400 postal department processes hundreds of letters daily, addressed to servicemen performing tasks in the area of the special military operation.
Letters to the front are sent from different parts of the country. Children send their messages and drawings to volunteers, who then pass them on to recipients on the front line. Truly sincere words touch the marrow. Persistent and strong military personnel can hardly hold back tears when reading.
“In order to organize the personal correspondence of the military participating in a special military operation, a 24-hour job has been organized to receive, process and send letters and packages to their destination. The delivery of postal items directly to the areas of the special military operation is organized by air, rail and road postal courier routes and is carried out daily, ”the Russian Defense Ministry comments.
The department notes that the line of communication works both ways. Messages from the relatives of the military go to the front, in the opposite direction – letters from the front of those who carry out combat missions.
In all groupings of troops (forces) in the area of the special operation, exchange offices have been deployed for postal and courier communications. The specialists of this service, as well as the military postmen assigned to the subdivisions, do everything possible to quickly find the addressee, send him news from his homeland and collect the ready-made reply message to send to relatives and friends.

In the military police stations throughout the country, it was organized to bring the relatives of the soldiers participating in the special operation information that would help to send a letter. The military office will always tell you the number of the military unit, explain how to sign the envelope correctly, how to send the parcel.
Of course, this is done in compliance with all the precautions provided: this information is strictly confidential and can only be disclosed to really close people, it is no coincidence that supporting documents must be provided for the application.
To ensure the delivery of letters to the recipients, relatives of military personnel can send their letters through the nearest branches of Russian Post to the address: 103400, Moscow-400, hereinafter – the number of the military unit.
