Theodore Hobbs, from the small town of Portishead in the east of England, taught himself to read and write at the age of 2 years and 4 months.
Now the prodigy is 3 years and 9 months old and can read not only in English, which is his mother tongue, but also in six other languages, including Chinese, Welsh and French. In addition, the baby calmly counts to a hundred in these languages, and her favorite pastime is learning new words. Teddy also enjoys reading Harry Potter books if his parents let him.
At the end of last year, Theodore was accepted into the Mensa organization, which unites people with a high IQ. Theodore Hobbs is the youngest member of Mensa in the UK since its inception in 1946, according to the organization.
Before enrolling the boy in the ranks of the “smartest”, representatives of the organization conducted the necessary tests: for an hour the boy solved various puzzles, and then admitted to his parents that it was the most interesting game in his life.
“Then he had to go home. She was so sad because the puzzles were over. She even searched for new words to calm herself down. She didn’t even care what Mensa was. She is beginning to realize that she is more capable than the other children. When he goes to school, I think he will understand more, ”said the mother of the young genius.
