Date: December 3, 2023 Time: 07:40:33

Loewe showed a collection created in collaboration with Studio Ghibli. Their partnership began in 2021. This time, creative director Jonathan Anderson was inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle, according to Hypebae.

“One of my favorite Miyazaki creations is the 2004 fantasy epic Howl’s Moving Castle. It is one of the most commercially successful Japanese films in history. In the collection, we turn to bold and intricate elements designed to literally bring the world of the film to life. The key pieces embody beloved characters and places,” Anderson shared.

In the anime aesthetic, the Flamenco, Hammock, Amazona, Luna and Bracelet bags have been reinvented. Another repeats the appearance of the moving castle, and the eyes of the fiery demon Calcifer appeared on the Puzzle model. They also attach to AirPods cases, scarves, and hats. The t-shirts, shirts, and hoodies also feature other anime characters: Sophie, Howl, the Witch of the Waste, and Michael.

Additionally, the collection includes a Calcifer-inspired scented candle. Combine notes of incense, immortelle, patchouli, vetiver, toasted hazelnuts, cardamom and elemi.

The advertising campaign was created by Juergen Teller. It stars Taylor Russell, Shin Hyun Ji, Rhianne van Rompuy, and Oliver O’Sullivan.

Previously, Loewe presented the men’s collection for the fall-winter 2023 season. It included satin shorts, boxer shorts that do not hide under clothes, and cardigans in delicate shades. From shoes: felted wool Chelsea and boots with a wide fur upper. Read more here.
