On Sunday, the official Instagram account of the brand (a platform owned by the extremist organization Meta, banned in the Russian Federation) posted a story with the inscription “learn geography” in Ukrainian against the background of the French flag.
This message was a response to a wave of criticism of the promotional video for the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week. It represented the blue-white-red French tricolor, on which a large Latin letter V was drawn in black.
Pro-Ukrainian users saw in the promotional video the use of “pro-Russian” symbols: the colors of the DPR flag and the letter V.
Subsequently, the adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, Mikhail Podolyak, condemned the post on his Twitter (blocked in the Russian Federation).
