The Louis Vuitton exhibition in Milan has opened, dedicated to the first part of the artistic reimaginings of the LV Trainer sneaker. The exhibition is called White Canvas: LV Trainer in Residence. It is designed to expand the fashion house’s connection to art. Hypebeast writes about it.
The exhibition is located in the Louis Vuitton store in Garage Traversi. It will run until March 16.
The white canvas is the LV Trainer. Three artists influenced by the New York underground scene of the 80s, Lady Pink, Lee Quiñones and Rammellzee, were invited to rethink them.
The idea for the project belongs to the former artistic director of the men’s line Virgil Abloh. He created the LV Trainer model for the spring-summer 2019 collection, and it quickly became a cult following.
Recall that the South Korean artist J-Hope, a member of the BTS group, has been announced as an ambassador for the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. The musician has already collaborated with the brand, so all the members of BTS were his ambassadors. The contract was concluded in April 2021, the partnership has already expired.
