Inna Mikhailovna, the Belarusian leader stated, “she has lived a bright and eventful life. Her exceptional talent and charm won the hearts of millions of fans, her bright images created on stage and in cinematography gave the viewer strong emotions and deep”.
Observers remember that the queen of theater and cinema was born on October 5, 1943 in Bashkiria in a family far from the stage. Father and mother were engaged in agronomic science.
Therefore, it seemed that nothing boded an acting career for Inna Churikova, but once she played an episode in a play at a summer camp, a thirst for the theatrical stage awoke in her. It was she who took the girl to the Youth Studio at the Stanislavsky Drama Theater, and then, without enrolling in the Moscow Art Theater School and the Shchukin School, she became a student at the Shchepkin Theater School. Biographers are even inclined to believe that it was there that a special gift was first discovered in the girl.
By the way, the meeting with the novice director Gleb Panfilov, whom she later married, became truly fateful for Churikova. In her debut film “There is no ford in the fire”, filmed in 1967, the actress played the role of nurse Tanya Tetkina. And the film received the main prize at the Locarno International Film Festival.
And three years later, Panfilov’s film “The Beginning” glorified Churikova throughout the country, and not only. For the role of the weaver Pasha Stroganova, who gets the opportunity to play Joan of Arc in the film, she was awarded the Golden Lion at the 32nd Venice Film Festival.
The condolences of the head of Belarus emphasize that the bright memory of the People’s Artist of the USSR will forever live in the hearts of Belarusians.
As already reported, Inna Churikova died on Saturday, January 14 at the age of 80. Judging by the information on the news portals, the farewell to the legend of national art will take place on January 17 at the Lenkom Theater, and her funeral will take place at the Troekurovsky cemetery in the Russian capital.
