Madonna and Sam Smith have released a new song “Vulgar”. Hypebae writes about it.
The provocative composition was produced by Smith with Ilya, Circut, Omer Fedi, Ryan Tedder and Jimmy Napes. The track was released on Capitol Records.
The musicians began teasing the single last month: they shared the song’s cover art (a close-up photo of the performers in black-and-white corsets with the inscription S&M). Smith also released a teaser for the song on social media, in which he revealed the release date. Madonna shared a snippet of the single on her TikTok page.
“’Vulgar’ is one of the most exciting songs I’ve ever worked on. It was written with Madonna and an amazing group of people. The day after the Grammys, we all got together in the studio and had a great night writing and expressing ourselves. And of course my big dream was to work, perform and sing with the Queen of Pop. I am so honored and excited and hope everyone enjoys this song as much as I do,” Smith shared.
Previously, The Weeknd released the single “Popular” featuring Madonna. The track was included in the soundtrack of the “Idol” series.
