The taps and columns that are used to dispense thousands of beers in bars across the country pass into the hands of the Italian company Grupo Celli, which announced on Thursday the acquisition of 70% of the Spanish Exclusivas JJL. This family company, created in 1989, specializes in the manufacture of high-quality trays, taps and branding for the beer sector and has the main brands as clients (Mahou, Heineken, Amstel, Estrella Galicia…). Both companies have not revealed the amount of the operation, but it represents a further step in Celli’s commitment. Last year it also acquired 100% of Reyvarsur.
The founding family will continue to lead Exclusivas JJL and now own a third of the property, to continue with the management developed and start up the collaboration with Celli in the Spanish market. The company has 35 employees and a 3,300-square-meter factory that serves the main beer brands and another 2,200-square-meter logistics plant.
strategic association
The CEO of Exclusivas JJL, Julián Vázquez, has pointed out that “we have always focused on the highest quality and innovation of the products we offer”. In this sense, he believes that becoming part of the Italian multinational “would give us the opportunity to further increase our business in Spain and in the rest of the world”.
“This association represents a new and important chapter of growth for the Celli Group”, stressed Mauro Gallavotti, who is president and CEO of the Italian multinational.
