Singer MakSim, 40, recorded an appeal from a rehab clinic where she is being treated for alcoholism. Marina Abrosimova (this is the name of the singer) was already treated for alcoholism 5 years ago, after which she again led a full life. But 2 years ago, her Marina she fell ill with coronavirus pneumonia with serious complications, after which she recovered for a long time and returned to a very active touring life. The singer says, “After my serious illness, I started touring, took on a lot of responsibility, and promised to do an unthinkable number of performances. The heyday was a concert that did not really take place in Sochi. Not only did I arrive tired, I really couldn’t stand on my feet. Before leaving, she was on a drip. And I decided that if I drink alcohol now, I will work like a machine. It ended with the failure of the concert.
Marina said she wasn’t so concerned about the multi-million dollar losses due to interruptions in performances that they had to pay for. How much, for the work of her colleagues and her attitude, the respect of the audience. The singer realized: “My already habitual attempt to escape from problems, ailments, unnecessary impressions (and I am very impressionable), emotions through alcohol does not lead to anything. In addition, it leads to huge losses. I came to the conclusion that it is an addiction. Done, accepted. And I decided to act, because this is not my life, it is not my story. That is why I have been in the clinic for a long time.”
The artist said that her daughters, musicians from her band visit her and her family supports her. She also hopes for the support of the audience: “I hope for her support, because it was a big step for me to come here of my own free will to undergo treatment. A big step to say it out loud.”
