“Instructions have been given… to the constituent entities of the Russian Federation neighbouring the Kursk region to deploy temporary accommodation centres at the request of the Kursk region,” TASS reports in a message from Manturov’s office.
In addition, regional authorities, together with the Ministry of Finance, have been ordered to maintain special control over the provision of material assistance payments to citizens in temporary detention facilities, and law enforcement agencies have been ordered to report on changes in the operational situation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Russian National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the FSB, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Health and other departments, as well as representatives of the region.
On the eve of the meeting, Denis Manturov informed President Vladimir Putin about the measures that have been taken to help the residents of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. According to him, people are being evacuated from unsafe areas and 19 temporary accommodation centres have been set up. The victims are receiving medical care.
