One of the most successful projects in recent years has already grown with the prequels “1923” (with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) and “1883”.
It has already been decided that after the fifth season the show will end and the audience will try to captivate with a new story about the Dutton family. According to Deadline, Matthew McConaughey (True Detective, The Gentlemen, Dallas Buyers Club) is in talks to play the lead role.
“We are working to expand the franchise of this incredible world that Taylor Sheridan built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent that we would like to partner with,” a Paramount spokesperson told the publication.
Kevin Costner spent about 65 days in Montana during the filming of the show’s early seasons, sources said. During the filming of the fifth season, he demanded to reduce the number of days to 50. Meanwhile, it was for his role in Yellowstone that he received the Golden Globe.
Costner is currently directing the Horizon project, for which he wrote the script. In other roles: Sam Worthington (“Avatar” and “Avatar 2”), Sienna Miller, Jena Malone.
